Musical Cycle of Seasons (3 Year Olds)

Our Musical Cycle of Seasons enrollment is available for either a full 13 week semester (beginning the week of September 8-12 through December 8-12) , or by choosing one or more mini-sessions!
Mini-Session 1: 4 weeks (beginning the week of September 8-12 and ending September 29-October 3)
Mini-Session 2: 4 weeks (beginning the week of October 6-10 and ending October 27-31)
Mini-Session 3: 5 weeks (beginning the week of November 3-7 and ending December 8-12, no classes Thanksgiving week)
Age: 3 years of age
Class Length: 45 minutes, once a week LIVE on Zoom
Materials: Pouch containing listening activity cards, Parent Guide, and two CDs/Digital Downloads of Course Music *Materials must be picked up prior to your first class!
Note: Registering for this level requires a one time purchase of our fall Musical Cycle of Seasons materials. This fee will be automatically added to your cart during registration. If you choose to enroll in multiple mini-sessions, the material fee may be removed before completing your registration.
As an added bonus, children enrolled in the Musical Cycle of Seasons class will have access to a video playlist of musical activities. These activities can be enjoyed as many times as you wish during your time of enrollment.

South Florida Music is currently accepting registrations for our full fall semester or Mini-Session 1. If you are interested in Mini-Session 2 or 3, please contact our office. Due to the the digital nature of these classes, no refunds nor credits will be available for Mini Session enrollments.
Description: Celebrate your child’s love of nature and growing independence through activities which focus on the seasons of the year. Classes are designed to build attention and self-expression and include singing, chanting, moving, focused listening, musical games, exploring musical instruments, creative movement, and storytelling. While many of the activities appear similar to those in Music for Toddlers, children are encouraged to work more independently from their parents/caregivers. Furthermore, this level begins the foundation of musical literacy by applying musical language to simple rhythmic and tonal patterns.
Musical Goals: Demonstrate and move in sequences to a steady beat, Encourage independent singing; Apply musical language to rhythm and tonal patterns; Advance listening skills and aural recognition; Play age appropriate instruments; Form a bank of familiar songs.
Developmental Goals: Develop gross and fine motor; Advance cognitive and language development; Develop language connections and aural skills; Exhibit independence; Participate in creative/imaginative play; Exhibit body awareness and self-regulation; Strengthen social, emotional, and self-help skills.
